before we get into anything, I want to apologize. We're planning on doing a couple more. Uh, Christmas episodes, but unfortunately we had technical issues, right. Yeah, we recorded a whole episode and then found out that it wasn't recording. The technical issues. Is I'm an idiot. Okay. That's why. And then it's funny because the whole time we were talking, we're like, you know, it's recording. You know, it's recording and I'm like, okay. Yeah, I'm a stickler for this shit. I, I apologize. For this ish. All right. The festive holiday season. Of 2023 has drawn to a close. How are you feeling? Jen? Happy. I love the end of the year. We should do a new year's up. but for now, we're just reflecting on the holiday season, talking about the gifts we got. I love my guests. Yeah, you loved it. I loved all of them. What really was special about the gifts we did this year is that we didn't just drop, you know, mad bills. We also put real thought into the gifts. Like the things you got me are really special. And. I'm I I'm really impressed by the, the care you put into getting me. Into into what you got me this year. So I just want to say thank you. You're amazing. And obviously I crushed it. Yeah. That's awesome. tHe last couple of days leading into Christmas, I was reflecting. On how I experienced, you know, the month of December, this holiday season that we've been talking about. And it really felt like it just slipped right by me. We had a lot of stuff going on. This is our first Christmas in the new house, busy with work. It just happened way too fast. And that's one thing that next year I want to keep in mind is I want to really like cherish this time. It's my favorite time of year. I want to make sure I'm soaking it all in. Yeah. How about you? You felt like you really took it all in. I did. I felt like I did. I was listening to Christmas music a lot. Um, We went to, basically, since we went to go get our Christmas tree, which is a real tree, that was our first Christmas tree. Yeah, that was my first real tree. I really don't think I'm a fan, but it was still fun. Hold on. That's important. You do not want to have. I told you that it was just a little underwhelming for me. It's a little bit more maintenance and it doesn't look as nice in my opinion. Maybe, I just don't know how to dress like a fake tree or sorry, a real tree. Um, but, or it's just cause you cut it too much. I don't know. It ended up looking kind of funny to me. I completely forgot about maintenance. It's a good thing. You were doing it. I have been, they told us everything we had to do. And I did not even think about that once. I know you didn't, our tree would have been absolutely AFT if I was in charge of taking care of it. Yeah. So like I've been monitoring it, but like, um, I don't know. Not feeling it. I don't think it's for me, but that was really Christmasy. Like a very Christmasy thing to do that. Chris was farm next year. Um, I'll still go. I don't want to go for not actually getting a treat. What's that. It was like a one time experience for me, definitely getting a real tree. That's important to me. But if you don't care to go, okay, well, no, cutting it. Then you can't cut it. Cause you, we didn't cut it up. Oh, you mean trimming it? Yeah, I messed it up. Yeah. He trimmed off like all the bottom and it became, so Labcyte. This is my first time too. We're learning. Maybe next year, I'll give it another chance. But, um, we did that in the beginning of December. So that kind of kicked off everything for me. And then I decorated everything. I had a lot of decorations at work, so yeah. Yeah. Do you remember that show from when we were kids where they find someone off the street and they give them a makeover? No. I don't remember what it's called. It was like from the like early two thousands. Like what not to wear, like in the mall, like, you know, they, they style them up. They give them a full makeover. And I was just thinking about that just now. And I want it's too bad. They didn't have that for Christmas trees. To fix my mistake. I got so many outside outdoor decorations. Yeah, that was disappointing. I know the thing is it's all mud and rocks there. I don't really feel like putting all that stuff up right now. We have grass next year, then we could put out more things. Yeah. The plan is to get grass in the spring. We'll have the backyard hopefully finished. And, you know, we'll have everybody over. Like that's what Christmas is all about at the end of the day. I just want to spend time with everybody. On Christmas day. It didn't feel the same because my mom wasn't with us. She went to another Christmas party. Uh, my dad was sick. My step-mom was sick. My brother wasn't here. So most of the family that I'm used to spending time with, they weren't even there. And I think that kind of affected Christmas day for me a bit too. Overall though. I gotta be real with you. Jen, can I be real with you? You ready for it? You can give me a billion kajillion. Gold chocolate coins. You can give me all the Pokemon in the 1 51 set. I can get 20 X boxes, 20 PlayStations. A million dogs. A billion dollars. But the only thing that I really need is you. So I just want to thank you for being my gen savvy. This Christmas season. I love you. You're amazing. Thank you for putting up. My shit. But I have with my shit, man, like Merry Christmas. I love ya. Love you too. All right, let's go watch rebel moon now.
