The calendar has flipped to December, which means it's time to put on those Santa hats and crank up some Mariah Carey. Jen, welcome back to the pod. How you doing? Good. How are you? I'm so hype is. Christmas, not the best time of year. I just think winter in general is my favorite time. I'm a, I'm a winter person for sure. Winter and fall. For those of you who don't know, Jen is from a Pennsylvania. How snowy does it get up there, Jennifer? We actually get. Over here actually more sometimes than here. Is it similar to here? Just a little colder up there. Cool to hear. I mean, it's colder here. Yeah. A little bit warmer. Snow levels are the same. But I think the other year. Like. Pennsylvania got more snow than here for some reason. I dunno. That's crazy. I think we just, you know, we definitely did. We just got our first big snowfall. A couple of days ago. Not too crazy though. Yeah, no, it's not crazy, but it's enough that it's staying on the ground. It's an inch. I would think it doesn't feel like the holidays. Without snow, right. Yeah, we need that to really make it all, to run the whole thing together. Yeah, I guess. West coasters may think otherwise, but. Yeah, sorry. Sorry, our friends out in the west. Yeah, it's natural. In the states what's in the west coast. Let me go. He's going to guess. Yeah. Do you know what the west coast is over here in Canada, BC? Yeah. That's one of our dream places to go and BC. And Alberta, not Edmonton. If you're a listener from Edmonton, let us know how it is to live there because I haven't heard great things about the winter. I've heard. It's horrible. We've been in Calgary. I heard the winter's horrible, but people just love it up there anyways, because of the mountains and everything. Edmonton has Winnipeg rate. No. Oh, shoot. I still don't own Canada. Alberta is the province. People give her a break. She's not from here. Uh, Alberta's a province and Alberta has Edmonton and Calgary. Okay. Manitoba is a province of Manitoba has Winnipeg. Yeah, that's the one I've always heard. Winnipeg. My dad has gone to Winnipeg and he said it was like the coldest place he's ever gone. Yeah. It's definitely really cold up there. I've never been there, but you just hear about it, right? Reason why he went there for work. Cause he's an engineer and they go there to do testing on some of their stuff. Like all. Elements testing. So it was Larry so cold there that they can run like to their test to make sure that their. Uh, machines and stuff can like hold up to extreme conditions. So it's like, that's pretty cool. It's pretty extreme there. From what I've heard, does he ever go the drink Christmas? No. Yeah, I think. We're really starting to get the vibe of Christmas. It's starting to feel like that time of year. I personally. We talked about it every year when we go over this, on the pod. But to me. Don't hang up your decorations. Don't worry. Your hats until December starts. Cause that for me is when it officially starts. It's not a weather thing because if we don't. Yeah. Even though I said the snow is what makes it feel like that you also got to take into consideration? Like what time of year it is to like. If it's before December, it's not Christmas time. Don't play. Don't watch elf and September. I'm sorry. That's not Christmas. We have a couple of Christmas movies that I want to watch too, that they came out on Netflix and prime. Uh, I don't remember the names, but we'll go over them over these next few. Episodes holiday specials that we're going to do. And we'll like, talk about it. For this week, let's just kinda go over. What Christmas movie would you say are the most excited to see. Um, over the holidays, I think I'm going to go with elf. It's been a while and I kind of want to rewatch it really? Yeah. Prior to that yet? I haven't seen it in a couple of years. Yeah. Um, For me, I just love Christmas. Nickel Christmas Chronicles. I wonder if they're doing a step one. I mean, yeah, the second one, I really like. Did they do three? No, they've only done two, right. I'm not, I'm not sure. I find your phone. It's in my pocket. Yeah, I really liked the second one with those little like. Elf things. Those are so cute. I love the whole image of Santa Claus in that movie. Also, like you said, Noel, I love. Um, Yeah, but like, I feel like those are almost like newer classics. Then, yeah, there's definitely. Classic old classics. Um, Who would you say? Is the most. Synonymous actor. With Christmas and I believe as a correct answer, Tim Allen, Tim Allen. A hundred percent. Santa Claus. Yeah, he's Santa Claus. He's been, he's a Christmas with the cranks, you know? I love Christmas with the cranks. I think that's probably one of my favorites too. I'll never forget getting it on PSP. When the hell was. Little desks. That's how I would walk. I want to continue watching that new series, the Santa Claus series. I've only seen episode one. I've only seen the first episode so far, but I liked it and I wanted to keep watching. So let's aim to finish it and see if we can cover it for the last up. So to what we'll do is each week we're going to put out a Christmas themed episode. And we're going to end off, I guess, right before Christmas. Maybe what we'll do is we'll have that last episode come out on Christmas day. Yeah. I'm sure people want to listen to us. Well, I also want to maybe make time for myself to just watch one of those really bad hallmark ones, because I know you won't watch that. Can I come up with one right now? Okay. This is what we're going to do. We're going to end off the episode with a hallmark movie that I'm going to create on the spot. So Jenny is as big lawyer in the city. She's so successful, no matter what the odds have been coming up. But guess what? Now she's going to have to try to do something else. Balance work. With the profession with their personal life. Jenny's a big time lawyer. But now she needs to become a big time lover. She, she goes on vacation to a remote town. To get away from work because all of her. Uh, assistance and coworkers are saying you need a break. My thing. So. But then when she goes to get away from everybody, she finds something that she wasn't looking for. Love. I think. Like even watch, there was one that Lindsay Lohan was in recently. And it's all about a female character who works too hard, goes away. Falls in love. And then she doesn't know if she's ready for it. And she it's this really nice guy. Maybe he has a kid and his wife died or something. Actually like pretty much every hallmark movie, like that reminds me of just like the end scene of wonder woman too. That was just fricking horrible. There's another superhero movie coming up before Christmas. Oh, Aquaman two. It's the last one G cause Jason Mo is coming back. See. Um, I'll pull it up now, but, um, keep talking when you were going to say, and I'll pull up the release date. Yeah. Well, I was just saying in general, like, I mean, I really like to watch those things sometime like the holidays. I really liked that one, but. One one with Nina dope breath. Um, those ones are Netflix, holiday movies, but like hallmark holiday movies are like another level. I think. And, um, like the cheesier, a lower level. Yeah. So Aquaman two comes out December 22nd. It's Jason, Mamoa his last movie as Aquaman. And then he's going to play someone else in DC cause they're rebooting the universe. And then we have another one called rebel moon with a. Um, rebel. Moon's like a star wars movie, not star wars, but it's a star wars type of movie that Zack Snyder is doing. It comes up December 15th. It's supposed to be huge. Like very middle this whole universe out of this film. So those are, those are two kind of savvy geek type of movies that are coming down. Not Christmas theme, but yeah. The army is good as your holiday movies. That's for sure. Your hallmark. But you know what, honestly, whether we're watching a shitty hallmark movie, Or a sick ass Aquaman movie, as long as we're together. That's all I care about. That's what the holidays are really about when it comes down to it. Just being around the people that you love. Watching whatever and eating some gingerbread cookies. I'm really going to try to make my own gingerbread this year. And we'll let you know, in the next episode, if it's good or not.
