Ho ho ho. Ho ho ho. Ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho. Parker, your daddy's not barking, he's just making a laugh laugh. He's doing a funny. I know my dog doesn't understand me, alright? I just love him. If you own a dog, you get it. We are at episode 69. So you know I had to do a comedy centered episode. And if you don't know, well I'll tell you. The number 69 is definitely the funniest number ever. If you can name a funnier number than 69, well then I'll give you 69 yen. Yeah, that's a lot of yen. Comedy is important. It helps people get through tough times. It cheers them up when they're down, you know, I feel like during COVID especially people really leaned on comedy. I wonder how often the office was streamed. If they had like a kind of graph, I bet you it was streamed a lot during the COVID years. I know for myself, there was one point where I was feeling like pretty sad. I think it was more towards the end of COVID. I don't remember exactly, but it just felt like everyone was just fighting and no one could get along. It just, it seemed so dark, you know, the world. And the internet, I guess it's always dark, but I just felt like everybody was just in a bad place and that made me feel sad, you know? But then I watched an episode of It's Always Sunny and they get drugged by a monkey and then the monkey pisses in their mouth and I was crying from laughter. I forgot how sad I was because I was just laughing so hard. That's what comedy does. It takes you out of the dark and brings you to the light, you know? If I had to look back on some characters off the top of my head that really like, did that for me, that really brought joy to me. We already talked about Chandler, so I'll put friends aside for a minute. We had our special recently. Michael Scott, Dwight, Andy from The Office. Then you go to Parks and Rec and you have the other Andy, you have, uh, Leslie Knope, you had, uh, who else, Leslie Knope, oh, Ron Swanson, April was like pretty funny in parts but not as funny as those other characters, and then you had, um, what's that guy's name, what's Aziz Ansari's character's name in Parks and Rec? Tom Haverford. That's it. Hilarious. I quickly pulled up the, um, the cast. Just so I can remind myself of all the characters. I totally forgot about Chris Traeger too. You are fantastic. You are amazing. You are the best you that you could possibly be. Hilarious. Craig was so funny. Then you had, uh... Who else? Ben Wyatt was really funny in parts. John Ralphio. When he was like, when he would rap, but he'd always end on the wrong rhyme. And his sister was so funny. Oh, man. Now let's go over to Brooklyn Nine Nine. Brooklyn Nine Nine. I'm just remembering this one scene where she's like, she's like, this, this is the whole reason I became a cop. Sorry, let me backtrack. I'm gonna pull it up right now. Give me a second I'm gonna put it right to the mic. He was in on it too. Oh. Well, I'm still half right. Sure. That important to you? Very. I'm gonna die. I'm gonna die before I ever get to find my twin sister's killer. What? That's the reason I joined the force, remember? To find the man who murdered my twin sister. That's my whole story. There's no way you told me that. was so funny. Ugh. I could spend HOURS. HOURS talking about all my favorite scenes from Brooklyn Nine Nine. Then you go over to New Girl. New Girl had Schmidt, who was one of the funniest characters ever. If I could make any one of these characters my best friend, I'd pick Schmidt. You got me a cookie, I gave you a cookie. That's Nick, but still. You got me a cookie, you gave me a cookie. What do you want from me, Schmidt? What do you want? You love me too much, and you picked the wrong guy. So funny. I think in New Girl, Coach was probably the best. Like, when he was there, that was the best seasons of that show. What other shows did I love? So you have The Office, Parks and Rec, New Girl, Brooklyn Nine Nine, Superstore, I really love as well. That's a really good one. I know there's some I'm forgetting, but just, oh, Workaholics is another one. There's definitely, uh, no, yeah, there's definitely some I'm forgetting. I just can't remember them all because I watch so much sitcoms. I've seen pretty much all of them. If I had to go over to sitcom movies from sitcom shows though, I would say Superbad is probably the funniest movie I've ever seen and it's the most influential for me. Love that movie. What are recent comedies that I really liked? What's that one that just came out? Bottoms? That was a really good one. That's a good comedy. There's not a lot of good comedies coming out anymore. It's kind of sad. You'd think with all these, like, box office flops, they'd be going more towards films that are low budget that could still turn a profit. Like, sitcoms, you know? Rom coms I don't really care much about, but I love a good, like, raunchy sitcom. Those are the best. That's a good raunchy comedy. That movie was... Legend, Wafer, oh my god, I forgot about How I Met Your Mother! That's a great show, but the problem with How I Met Your Mother is the way it ended broke my heart and I never want to watch it again. But it's gotta be up there with one of the better sitcoms, up until a certain point. Community? How'd I forget about community? I just keep listing sitcoms, I know we're going over to the movies, but I can't not mention these sitcoms as they come back to me. Loved Community. Again, once Donald Glover left, it went poop. But up until that point, it was really good. If we're talking about animated comedies, Rick and Morty is probably the most legendary right now. Because Family Guy hasn't been good for a while, The Simpsons hasn't been good for a while, American Dad, eh, it's not at Rick and Morty's level. Although I probably like American Dad better. But if we're referring to pure quality of comedy, of animated comedy, Rick and Morty. is up there with the best. Oh, and the title of the episode? That's from Beavis and Butthead. Wedding Crashers, that's a comedy movie that I love too. Let's list off some more comedy movies that I really like, like old ones, before we end off. So you have Wedding Crashers, Step Brothers, How did I forget stepbrothers? Actually, I can lift list off a bunch of Will Ferrell's, uh, will Ferrell's specific movies that I love Will Ferrell's, my favorite comedy actor of all time Bar nine. There's nobody even close. So you have Talladega Knights, uh, Jackie Moon. Um, what's Jackie Moon in? I forget the movie of the Jack from the Jackie movie was in. So let's just skip that for now. You have Stepbrothers, Talladega Knights, um, old school. That was a great one. John C. Reilly is really good too. I like him as a comedy actor. I also really liked Zac Efron, like The Neighbors or I think it's called The Neighbors. Yeah, that was a really good movie. Key and Peele are some of my favorite comedy duels as well. It's too bad Peele's gone more kind of horror and he doesn't try and do comedies. Because he would excel at that. Well, he's a genius. He would do great at anything he tried to do. I guess his passion more lies than horrors. That's cool, man. Do whatever you want to do. Do what makes you happy. You know what makes me happy? Laughter. I love making people laugh. I love making people smile. I know the other day I was at the park with my nephews and nieces. I accidentally fell and I farted so loud they died of laughter..
